Savannah and Shane

Wow, its been July since we posted last? Okay - we win the award for the worst bloggers but ya know, the holidays always take over our lives. But, we had quite a few weddings this fall and all of the beautiful photos are making their way to our inbox - and we cannot wait to share! Up first is an adorable wedding at the beautiful Legends Ranch. This couple was so sweet and we were happy to provide a few rentals for their big day. All of these beautiful images are by the amazing Chelsea Nicole.

Inspiration: Doors

How amazing is it that something as simple as an old door can add such a fabulously shabby touch to your wedding?! So amazing! And that's why we love to use them in about every way possible. We just love the rustic look an old door presents... the chippier the better!! So let us gaze at some super gorgeous examples of our favorite ways to incorporate old doors into your special event...

Ceremony Backdrop-

How gorgeous are these!?! Take a few perfectly shabby doors, add some shelf brackets and viola!!

 Chalkboards-
Other than being super fab just as decor, doors can serve a purpose and also save you some money on paper! Yay for eco-friendly options!
These old doors have been turned into a chalkboard and used to display the event's menu, but you could also use it for a seating chart, event program or a welcome message.

 Escort Cards -
Doors are perfect for displaying escort cards. Here they have used frames and turf (and lots of gorgeous flowers), but you could use other materials such as chalkboards, cord, or tin with magnets.

Vintage keys are always a fab touch.

Inspiration: Wood Ladders

We had such great feedback from our first inspiration post on how to incorporate our wine barrels into your wedding/event and we are so excited to bring you our next edition - wood ladders! We currently have three a-frame ladders and one straight ladder - all wood and beautifully rustic.

Here are a few of our favorite ways you could use our wood ladders...

Ceremony Backdrop -

Use two of our a-frame ladders and our straight ladder across the top to create an "arch." The straight ladder makes it easy to hang things like poms, mason jars with flowers, etc. and the a-frame ladders are perfect to place more floral arrangements or various eclectic elements.

Place the straight ladders across the top of four of our old doors for a more substantial look.

Hang backdrop elements between two a-frame ladders without the use of the straight ladders. We love the personal touch of the book pages below but you could also hang rag garland, tassel fringe, etc.

You don't even need to use an element between the ladders - just the ladders on their own is simple and beautiful.

Escort Card Display -

Hang escort cards in between two a-frame ladders with a couple simple floral arrangement as accents.

Display photos of loved ones who couldn't be at the wedding or old wedding photos of family members along with the escort cards.

Use the straight ladders to also hang various decorative elements along with the escort cards.

Accents -

Hang sentimental photos to display at the reception.

Hang blankets for guests to keep warm or lay out to sit on the grass if outside.
